Bio

She was born on a 25th of November in the Nördlinger Ries in Germany.

Her first instrument was the piano, but she also played the contrabass for the

Oettinger Chamber Orchestra during her school years. Eventually the guitar

became her greatest passion.  Barbara studied with Clemer Andreotti, Hans

Koch, Johannes Tappert and Prof. Dieter Kreidler at the conservatories of

Würzburg and Cologne-Wuppertal, where she graduated in educational science

and art. She received additional valuable inspiration from her teachers Roland

Dyens (France) and David Tanenbaum (USA).

A versatile instrument for a versatile and sensitive artist: She appears at the

side of her partner Barbara Hölzer, playing classical music as the Duo

Tedesco as well as providing the musical golden thread for various literary

programs performed live on stage or recorded in the studio. For the duo

Peppermoon, she journeys the worlds of opera, musical and Latin music

together with soprano Anja Gutgesell.

Aside from performing on stage, Barbara has recorded numerous audio books

in cooperation with, among others, author Anselm Grün, Elmar Gunsch and

Cornelia Bose. In 2007, the CD "A mi manera" was released, featuring studio

recordings of excerpts from the live programs of Danzaluna and Agua y

Vino. "Sounds of Spain" by the renowned Duo Tedesco is scheduled

for release in 2008.

Besides classical music, Barbara Puppa Hennerfeind has for years been

dedicating herself to the flamenco: She learned the flamenco guitar, singing

flamenco vocals and Spanish Canciones, flamenco dancing and clapping the

castanets with the support of internationally renowned performers.

When performing with Danzaluna or Agua y Vino, the spirited artist presents

herself at her most passionate and most versatile. The blend of song, guitar,

castanets and dance literally radiates enjoyment of life as well as the joy of

experiencing music and musical creativity.

Last but not least, Barbara is performing with the Philharmonic Orchestra

Würzburg (Germany) and the National Theater Nuremberg Orchestra in various

opera, operetta and musical productions.

Barbara is living her dream: a life as a freelance artist.
