Cornelia Boese & Barbara Puppa Hennerfeind:

"I am the unseen ruler of an enchanted world"

A musical narrative with Cornelia Boese (Prompter) und Barbara

Hennerfeind (Guitar)

Prompters who vanish into thin air, actors who skip an entire act,

directors who fall into the prompt-box: these and other such major or

minor catastrophies behind the scenes fill the evening's performance.

Cornelia Boese and Barbara  Hennerfeind invite you to an evening of

poetry and music into the "nether" world of the theater.

Cornelia Boese was born in Würzburg and studied music in her

hometown. She has been a prompter for opera at the Mainfranken

Theater since 1990. Offseason finds her playing her viola da gamba on

Swedish trains, Norwegian postal ships or in her red canoo on the Main

River. When she is not sitting in her prompt-box, the successful author

is writing books and poetry, translating foreign opera texts and caring

for her 31 elks.

Barbara and Cornelia became acquainted during a production of the

"Barber of Seville" at the Mainfranken Theater. Fittingly, the stage

directions of this opera required Barbara and her guitar to appear on

stage by climbing out of Cornelia's prompt-box.....
